Harmony Retreat and Animal Rescue is excited to announce that we are collaborating with Hart2Heart Rescue to create an adoption center. This will be Harmony's first step to securing our bigger vision of the Retreat and Animal Rescue.
After our President’s trip to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary, in Kanab, Utah, this past June (2018), she came to the conclusion that we need to start to help animals in need RIGHT NOW. There are too many animals being euthanized in this country needlessly, and it needs to stop. We need to educate people how to make it a better place for the animals, our pets and all other animals. TNR (Trap Neuter and Return) is very important to us all, for the feline population. Colonies of cats exist and if they are not neutered the problem perpetuates. We can work on this together through education and community help.
Hart2Heart has been involved in rescue for several years and last year they became an official non-profit organization with 501(c)3 status, but they don't have an adoption center. We have already been working together at events, with adoptions, etc. It is a lot of work to have the pets in foster and have to move them around for adoption events. The Center will be a great help! #Adoptdontshop!
We want to create an Adoption Center for this reason, and for education purposes. It will be self-funding along with generous contributions, and help to fund for Harmony’s ultimate goal.
Together, Harmony with Hart, will provide a positive, safe, and loving environment at our adoption center where you can meet and greet future fur-ever members of your family. Where we can teach people to be responsible pet owners and responsible guardians of our planet. It takes a village…
